BT (Behavior Technician)

Our Behavior Technicians work 1:1 with a specific client implementing a behavior plan designed to meet their specific needs in home, in social settings, and in the community.

Job Requirements:

  • Working with an individual with ASD in their home.
  • Working with 1 – 3 individuals with ASD in a group social setting
  • Implementing a behavior plan as instructed by your direct supervisor.
  • Daily data collection.
  • Driving based on client’s proximity to employee’s location (does include mileage reimbursement)

Qualifications:

  • Energetic individuals passionate about working with individuals impacted by ASD
  • Organized and able to follow behavior plans
  • Responsible and timely
  • Desires a fun work environment with lots of room to grow
  • Experience working with individuals with ASD preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred but not required

BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)

The full time BCBA is responsible for providing direct supervision to Behavior technicians on his/her caseload. Responsibilities include conducting training’s, writing progress reports for insurance companies, reviewing and graphing data, communicating with parents and staff, as well as creating programs, data sheets, and behavior plans as needed. Services will be based on the principals of Applied Behavior Analysis including the modification of environmental variables, behavior reduction procedures, social skills, systematic instruction (e.g., discrete trial teaching, incidental instruction) to teach new and/or adaptive skills, and the maintenance and generalization of skills.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Supervise behavior technicians to ensure that ABA methodology and procedures are being delivered with fidelity
  • Supervise behavior technicians on a weekly basis
  • Supervise intensive and comprehensive behavioral programs
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Provide training, support, and consultation with families/caregivers of students on a caseload
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of systematic instructional programs for case students
  • Complete, or supervise Behavior Technicians completion of, formal assessments (e.g., ABLLS-R,AFLLS) to assist in the development of client goals and objectives
  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments or some other formal assessment to discover function of behavior (i.e. FA, IISCA) and develop behavior support plans
  • Ensure ongoing data collection and monitoring of data to make program changes
  • Complete regular clinical reviews with team members (e.g., behavior technician, parents)
  • Performance of other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • BCBA certificate from the BACB
  • Massachusetts Professional License from the Board of Allied Mental Health in process
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with disabilities as a BCBA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Mental Health
  • 2-3 years of experience as a BCBA
